I've spent a good bit of time alone recently. While I type this I'm by myself. I'm not looking for sympathy. It's merely an observation. Time alone tends to bring self-reflection. When I don't have anyone else to talk to, I'm more apt to talk to myself.
Shepherding and king-ing can be solo tasks, so I figure that some of the Psalms came out of David's alone times. Maybe Psalm 8, or 19, or 23. I pray that I will be aware, whether alone or in company, that God is with me, and that I'll live accordingly.
One time I definitely don't want to be alone is Sunday morning. I hope you'll join me at Covington Bible Church.
